The Son Caribe Band has performed along side and opened concerts for almost
every major Latin music event since 2002!
Along with regular performances throughout the islands, they're frequently called upon to perform
internationally throughout the Far East.
They've performed on live television broadcasts as the official Miss Hawaii Orchestra and the
Miss Hawaii Latina Orchestra.
They have recorded music for television and radio commercial broadcasts -
among them international clothing company 88 Tee's and University Of Hawaii Sports Television.
Son Caribe's CD "Salsa From Hawaii II" was also a #1 Best Seller In Hawaii, and received
©GRAMMY Award Consideration for 2004 Best Salsa/Merengue Album!
The band received a full 1-hour live feature performance on
K5 Television's popular summer music series Heineken's Hot Hawaiian Nights!
They were also selected and featured as one of Hawaii's top bands in the prestegious
Honolulu Magazine Music Issue!
Son Caribe has performed as the opening band for ©GRAMMY winning Latin music luminaries
CELIA CRUZ and PONCHO SANCHEZ.
As well, they've performed and shared the stage with Latin music recording artists
JOHNNY POLANCO, LUISITO ROSARIO, CHINO ESPINOZA, TITO PUENTE JR.,
FRANKIE MORALES, YOKO MIMATA, and JIMMY BOSCH.
Most recently they shared the stage with salsa singing legend
HERMAN OLIVERA during a 3-night engagement in Honolulu and Waikiki!
Along with its trademark Latin music, Son Caribe also performs big band, jazz, contemporary and top 40 music.
